As a Senior Vice President in Platform Product Management, I lead large-scale innovations that power global digital ecosystems, ensuring seamless experiences for billions of transactions. My expertise in reliability engineering, operational excellence, and API gateway technologies has positioned me as a recognized leader shaping the future of enterprise technology.

From El Chocó to Global Leadership

Born in El Chocó, Colombia, I forged my own path—arriving in the U.S. speaking little English, working in fast food, and breaking into tech through resilience and strategic vision. Today, I drive transformative change at Fortune 500 companies while championing leadership beyond the corporate world.

Leading in Business & Community

Beyond the boardroom, I am a board director for the Festival of the Diaspora and Independence Charter School, co-founder of Latinas in Tech Philadelphia, and co-founder of Nexo, a groundbreaking initiative focused on economic empowerment and digital access for underrepresented communities. My work is centered on mentorship, education, and creating opportunities, ensuring that access to innovation is not limited by background or circumstances.

Investing in Black Talent = Investing in the Future

As a Board Member of the @festival_diaspora , my role is not just about supporting this incredible gathering—it’s about creating spaces where Black talent is valued, amplified, and invested in.

I had the privilege of speaking on the panel “Investing in Black Talent for Black Futures: Shaping the World We Need” alongside incredible leaders like Verónica (@verordgz), a fellow Afro-Colombian product manager, Megan (@megreneesmith) co-lead of the @techademics.institute Fellowship, and Al(@frostychief) its founder. Together, we explored how to build pathways for Black professionals in tech, emphasizing the importance of mentorship, access, and intentional investment.

None of this would be possible without the leadership of @camilastintico and @cordell_speaks, the visionaries behind this movement, whose dedication and passion continue to create opportunities for so many of us. I’m also grateful for the work of organizations like @casa_innovation , which is helping to uplift social entrepreneurs in Latin America.

The conversations, connections, and impact of this festival are just the beginning—the work continues!

It was a truly wonderful event filled with inspiration, celebration, and recognition of the incredible impact of Hispanic leaders and businesses.

I was excited to share about the upcoming @festival_diaspora in Medellín, February 13-16, 2025. This festival will be a powerful gathering, bringing together changemakers, innovators, and leaders from across the globe to celebrate diversity, share ideas, and forge connections.

Quibdó, Colombia, where I was born and raised, faces profound challenges. With over 60% of the population living in poverty and limited access to education, infrastructure, and healthcare, the need for empowerment and opportunity is urgent. During a recent trip home, I had the honor of leading a business pitching workshop for local black entrepreneurs. This was a chance not just to teach, but to ignite hope.

The most emotional moment came through a conversation with my dear uncle Jose, a lumberjack and carpenter almost 70 years old now, his eyes filled with tears as he shared, “My business wasn’t successful not because of lack of hard work but because of lack of knowledge.” Growing up, I witnessed his back-breaking work and the beautiful craftsmanship he put into every piece, even as he sometimes struggled to put food on the table for his family. His words deeply moved me highlighting the vital importance of our mission.

I am incredibly grateful to @mariavelasquezmpa CEO of @casa_innovation and @cordell_speaks CEO of @festival_diaspora for making this possible.

A special thanks to @feleciahatcher CEO of @blackambitionprize and @pearsonderick CEO of @centerforblackinnovation , who immersed themself in our community’s struggles and dreams.

I also got to hug my grandmother, my dad, and my childhood best friend 😍 . Feeling their warmth and strength reminded me of the deep roots and enduring bonds that continue to inspire my journey and advocacy.

We were lucky to have a moment to appreciate the natural and innovative spirit of Quibdó with a peaceful canoe ride on the river and an inspiring visit to @teamroboticsdelpacifico_ that beautifully showcased what Quibdó has to offer — a reminder of the resilience and potential that pulse through my community.

This journey wasn’t just a return to where I started; it was a deeply emotional reminder of why I tirelessly advocate for underrepresented people. It reaffirmed my commitment to pushing for change, inspired by the strength and spirit of my hometown.
